DIVING
For the more expert, Chapwani Island proposes an arrangement with special fees, with a local diving school which will take you to discover the cristal blue waters of Zanzibar.
We are partner of Zanzibar Ocean the biggest dive centre in Zanzibar and PADI 5 star dive centre with instructors that speak many languages (English, French, German, Spanish, Italian and Kiswahili).
They are up to date with all the international safety standard and all their staff and crew are trained of first aid, oxygen provider and rescue in the water.
Chapwani has at its disposal a typical local boat, built by the local zanzibar shipwrights, which will take you out on fantastic escursions to discover the wonderful deep seas, the sandbanks with their packed sea bird colonies and little islands adjacent to Chapwani, like Prison Island. In olden days, the forced dwelling for slaves, to then be a quarantine zone and today a turistic destination and home to some giant turtles which come from the colony of Aldabra in the Seychelles.
